The December 2008 Auto-Theft.info's Hero of the Month award goes to the team of agencies that helped to recover a car all but lost. In later November a StolenCarReports.com Tippers assisted authorities in recovering a stolen Hummer that had been brought in to Tiajuana Mexico. While anti-theft authorities working in these areas make every effort to recover stolen vehicles across the border, it is an incredibly challenging task and chances of owners being reunited with their vehicles once they have crossed the border in to Mexico are not high. However, in this instance, working with National Vehicle Services, the California Highway Patrol Border Division, the Baja California State Preventive Police, and the National Insurance Crime Bureau, StolenCarReports was able to recover a stolen Hummer and have it returned to the United States to its owner.
